Fun Facts about TRON

TRON was originally inspired by the Pong video game.
Some Disney animators refused to work on it. It was said they felt threatened by the potential for computers to take their jobs.
The CGI used in the movie took only 2 megabytes of memory.
The characters of TRON use flying discs because the creators had a no-guns policy out of fear of encouraging violence in children.
TRON inspired one animator who would go on to create an entire studio based on CG animation: John Lasseter.
